Mysterious Foot Relief at Borobudur

Who is not fascinated by staring at the beauty of Borobudur temple in Magelang, Central Java? Built in the King Samaratungga from Wangsa dynasty in the year 824, composed of 1460 panels of Borobudur reliefs and 504 stupas. However, panels that are seen were not complete. There are panels that are deliberately backfilled soil because relief is considered vulgar and obscene.The panels were located on the bottom, called the hidden foundation Kamadhatu.Bagian consisted of 160 relief scenes Karmawibhangga Sutra or the law of cause and effect.

Last known World War I combatant dies at 110

The last known survivor of the 70 million combatants from World War I, a British sailor who witnessed the surrender of the German fleet in 1918, has died at the age of 110.

Claude Choules, who was born in Pershore, western England, died in his sleep at a nursing home in the Western Australian city of Perth on Thursday.

Choules was declared the last-known WWI combatant earlier this year after the death of U.S. veteran Frank Buckles, also aged 110.

Intensive Care ... Arctic Temperatures Being in the Highest Since 1880

COLORADO - Global warming continues to harvest the result. Recent reports say that the Arctic temperatures in the last six years has been at its highest level since measurements began in 1880, and continues to increase. Ice in Greenland and the rest of the Arctic melting faster than previously projected and could raise global sea levels as high as 1.6 meters by 2100, says a new study.
Even in summer the next 40 years, the institute predicted, the North Pole will be ice-free.
Research released on Tuesday by the Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Program (Amap) said there was "an urgent need for a greater" in the fight against global warming as record temperatures have caused the rate of increase in the melting of ice at the poles.
